Setting a Place for Us with Chef Hawa Hassan

Please join Georgetown’s African Studies Program, the Gender+ Justice Initiative, the Department of Black Studies, and partner programs for a conversation with James Beard Award–winning Somali American chef and author Hawa Hassan. Drawing on her own experience as a refugee, Hassan’s new cookbook weaves together personal narrative with stories and recipes from displaced communities around the world.

Free and open to all.
