Research Project: Privacy Rights and Gender Expression
I want to consider how privacy as a moral “right of concealment,” might relate to substantive due process jurisprudence and legal claims about gender identity. In some cases, I think that gender identity might be cognizable as a “private” matter on the level of reproductive choices and consensual sexual intimacy. A better understanding of the moral scope and practical impacts of privacy jurisprudence is important as the Court once again considers limitations on reproductive rights.
