Breaking Weinstein

Megan Twohey (C’98) is a Pulitzer Prize nominee and investigative reporter for The New York Times who has focused much of her attention on the treatment of women and children.

In 2017, she and Jodi Kantor broke the story of Harvey Weinstein’s decades of alleged abuse towards women, helping to ignite the worldwide #MeToomovement. As part of The Times’ 2016 presidential politics team, Twohey told the stories of women who accused Donald J. Trump of groping and other sexual misconduct, pushing forward with the reporting even as Trump repeatedly threatened her with lawsuits.

The event is scheduled for Wednesday, April 11th at 7:00pm in Lohrfink Auditorium. Megan Twohey will be introduced by Georgetown University Gender+ Justice Initiative’s Co-Director, Denise Brennan, followed by a Q&A session.
